We are proud to announce that we have added one the greatest guitar legends to our roster. Leslie West of Mountain re-defined the sound of rock guitar adding elements of blues and metal to create a unique and powerful sound. You can't deny the timeless riff in Misssissippi Queen and to hear it played through his custom built Superdrive stacks dressed in white is mind blowing. Leslie is using our workdog 30, slaving into a 45 and 80 to create a massive wall of tone. Catch Leslie on tour with Joe Satriani this fall and visit montaintheband.com for show dates in a city near you.

We got this cool shot from Stevie D. of Buckcherry from the road on the Crufest tour. We custom built Stevie checkerboard 4x12's to go along with his Superdrive 80 heads.

We are stoked to endorse one of todays' guitar pioneers stretching the limits of rock, Thomas Erak from the Fall of Troy. Thomas plays a Superdrive 80 head and our Phat 12 2x12 extensions. Don't miss their live show, it will knock you out! visit www.thefalloftroy.com

We heard from uber producer Nick Raskulinecz (foo fighters, rush, stone sour) that he is producing Coheed and Cambrias new record and that the Superdrive 45 and 80 are getting a serious workout. Got an email from Ahmed Mahmoud whose band Bamboo Shoots won MTV's bestmusiconcampus contest and a million dollar record contract with Epic! Ahmed plays a Superdrive 30 1x12 combo and swears by his amp. His email sums it up: "I love the tone, the quality, and the clear quiet of the amp when I'm doing low dynamic sections. I think its great that these amps are made so surprisingly well. Everyone who plays through the amp is given great pleasure and compliments it. It's the cornerstone of my set up. I really don't think I'll need another company for amps, ever." Congratulations Ahmed and thanks for playing Budda! For more info on their band click here

We lent Robert Randolph a custom white Superdrive 45 rig to shoot a live video on. Check out the vid on yahoos music site by clicking on "aint nothing wrong with that" here

Our boys in Buckcherry are up for a Grammy this week for their hit "Crazy Bitch". Stevie D's Superdrive 80 rig delivers the tone he has been looking for and his quote, "For simplicity, power and tone... NOTHING even comes close." pretty much sums it up. If you are looking for phat, powerful and punchy guitar tones that will suck the notes out of your guitar and spit them back in your face, read more about the Superdrive Series II amps here

It seems a lot of amp companies are re-issuing designs from the past. What about the future of guitar tone? Why buy sounds from the past when what you really need is a unique tone that captures the old school designs with contemporary performance for todays music. One of the reasons our namm show booth was packed this year was players are looking for a new sound to call their own. With the popularity of pedals, you need an amp that you can incorporate your effects pedal board into the signal path without muddying up the tone. Our amps have been doing that since the start and we feel we have a step up on the competition. Check out the tone of our Superdrive Series from this years namm show on the Temple of Tone page. If you haven't heard the beautiful clean and aggressive hi gain tones of the Superdrive Series II amps, audition the new audio clips we posted while you're there. Special thanks to Doug Rappaport, Patrick Droney, Jason Sadites, Shredmistress Rynata, Jamie Kime, James Santiago and Brett Petrusek for the fine demos.

We eat, drink and live tone and today we are proud to announce that rocks legendary producer, Eddie Kramer is a fan of Budda. Eddie has worked with the whos who of rock, including Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Stones, Kiss, etc. He knows his tone and has found it in the Superdrive 30 and 80 amps. There is a new raw power and tone in todays rock music and one of the producers responsible is, Nick Rasculinecz. Nick produced the platinum Foo Fighters record "In Your Honor" and we caught up with him on his technique in the podcast section of our temple of tone page. Read up on Nicks use of the Superdrive 30 and 45 and why we make his job easier, here

Nick also finished up working with Alex Lifeson on the new Rush record. The great news is that we heard back from Nick that Alex loved the tone of the Superdrives and used it all over the record. 2112 is still one of our favorite rock records from the 70's! We sent Nick a Superdrive 18 and an 80 for the session and we are excited to hear the guitar tones. Subscribe to the Budda blog for more info as it comes.

Click here to put your ears on this rippin tune and the 45 in action! Guitar Player Reviews the Superdrive 45. Here's what they had to say in the April 06 Issue "With the drive knob set to maximum you get heavy duty sustain and saturation, and the cut, definition, and transient attack is almost scary. Even on speedy hammered runs, notes sound ultra crisp and articulate, yet the thick harmonics readily pour out as you dig into the strings." The 45 is our answer to hi gain amplification, where articulation and power come together in a light weight package. For more on the Superdrive 45, click here

The Superdrive 30 has been dubbed "The Dirty 30" around Budda headquarters. Check out some killer Superdrive 30 tones by Instrumentalist, Jason Sadites off his debut CD Orbit available here EL84's never sounded so good in an amp- hints of an ac30/plexi hybrid, uniquely Budda!

Joe Bonamassa is a players player, full of fire and compassion, he knows how to command his instrument and make it talk back in his own voice. We caught Joe during sound check and had him run through the tones of our new Superdrive 45. Check out the video demo featuring Budda president, Scot Sier & Joe Bonamassa
